Piel Frama has a case for the Sprint (Audiovox) 6700 on there website. They used my 6700 to make a sample. I was without my 6700 for 3 1/2 weeks.
I get my free Crocadile case in about 20 days . I don't know if it was worth being without my 6700 for that long of a period.
I totally agree. These cases look and probably fit better then my own skin. I really liked and ordered the ostrich skined case and eagerly await its arrival .
Is the keyboard usable in that case? The pictures dont show that, whereas the pictures of the piel frama K-Jam case take pains to show the keyboard in use.
Originally posted by ErrorF002 That is my only reservation about the case. Not enough pictures.
I will wait for the brave and adventurous to order it and try it out.
Frankly I can't see how they could let you slide out the KB without make the case all flimsy.
I have been in touch with the people at Piel Frama. You cannot use the keyboard while the 6700 is in the case. The reason being if you go to there site & look at the Imate K-Jam they have a strap that is holding the 6700 down. The reason they did not put it on the 6700 is tha it would fall out & damage the unit. The 6700 is bigger then the K-Jam & they may change the design on the k-jam. They gave it a lot of thought & tried several desigbns & this is what they came out with. This is the safest & that is what you would want.
When you open the case the power slot is accesible. Everything is accessabile except for the keyboard.
I had the crocadile case on my Imate Jam & it fit like a glove. It is the best case made for the 6700. Remember they spent 3 weeks designing it.
If you look at all the pictures you will see all the detail.
The 6700 is used in the USA mainly, so you will not see many other manufactures making cases as good as this one. Right now both the GSM & CDMA have only Piel Frama to choose from. I doubt that anyone who buys this will be dissapointed. I know I will be very satisfied with this case.

This is the part that concerns me. I like my cases nice and snug, nothing worse than a nice leather case that your pda feels like its rattling around in it.
Considering that one of the cooler features of this deviceis the slide out KB and that buying a case will force me to constantly work it out of the case so that I can use it is a bit of a downer.
This is just an observation, not a criticism. I wouldn't expect any companyto sacrifice safety and quality to give me this. I also have no other ideas on how to get around this issues short of coating the unit with spray-on rubber.

I would be more concerened with the 6700 being damaged. The case is normally used to transport & carry. Once you are at your desk it is safe to take it out of the case & use it. If it is a short memo or E-Mail then use the one on the screen. With this case the LCD is protected at all times while in the case. If you drop it the case would probably protect the unit. I do not think you will see one that you can use the KB while in the case.

The power button could never be pressed while in the P/F case. If the phone was designed as good as the case you would have a perfect phone/pda. That is why it took 3 weeks to design the case . They go over every minute detail.. Go to there website , read the feedback & look at the cases.
Ask Angelica any question & she will reply within 24 hours with a answer.
While i totally agree that this is the finest case thus far for the 6700 (maybe until Vaja get their act together , i don't understand what prevent them to hold the bottom part (ie the KB) securely in the leather pouch and allow the screen to slide out.
Also, like i mentioned in the case thread, i don't see an opening for the speaker so could that prevent you from hearing it ringing?
