Terminal Services not working on WM5??

I'm tring to connect to my Terminal Server 2003 and can not connect to it. I could with the 6600. When I try to tell it what port to use it tells me that it's not a valid server name. We also have a back up Terminal server that is running on server 2000 and it won't even connect to it. I have to use port 9900 on the 2003 server.

Please this is killing me. Got these phones for the IT staff so we can fix some of our issues while we are out and about and not around a computer with internet access. Any help will apreciated. With the 6600 and 2003SE it worked right from the get go.

Send a message via AIM to ErrorF002

silly questions but beg to be asked, are you formating the message as:

ts.servername.com:9900

Will connecting to the standard port work for you on another server?

EVDO or 802.11 into your corp network?

Using EVDO straight to the TS using sprints network of course. No VPN connection. Crappy thing is that it worked with the 6600 no problem. And I have to use port 9900 to access the new TS. The old TS I don't need specify a port but neither are able to be connected to with the 6700.

On a side note we are installing SP2 on our Exchange server and going to play around with some of the moblie mail stuff and see if we can't get some email functionality out of it until the new WM5 update is released for the push mail.

Opps. The formate is the actuall IP address. ie... 123.45.67.89:9900 for the new TS and 123.45.67.89 should access the old TS. Once on my TS I can use just regular Server names and active directory to access my other servers on the network. Well at least from an outside computer. And hopefully the 6700 once I can figure out what the problem is.

you cannot put the port number infront of the name like that, it doesnt work for the terminal service client that comes on ppc 6700. The client actually gets the port number from the registry. if you are not using the defualt terminal service port on the host/server you need to change the port on your ppc by using a program like tweaks2k2. if u did a search there have been threads on this already

I did search and I have also tried changing the port the 9900 in the reg. I couldn't connect to a regular TS on the regular port through EV/DO or WiFi. The server just times out.
