Anyone know if you can add animated .gif files as your background on the today screen? Similar to what you can do as your wallpaper on a normal PC. Thanks...

i am sorry i really dont understand... the animated themes say that they need animatedtoday and the flash themes say they need flash dash... maybe im retarded but can you please tell me exactly how i can get a animated today screen, i would really appreciate it. THank you
show me one theme on pocketpcthemes.com that works on your today screen and is actually animated. I am asking for help and by just repeating something that was stated above and still not understood by me, and probably by most, is not really helping. If you have achieved getting an animated desktop please tell which thems you are downloading from pocketpcthemes.com and from which tab because that website has the following tabs:
New | Most Popular | Adult | Animated | Extended Themes | VGA Themes | FlashMates | FlashDash
I have tried both animated today and flash themes. Neither work on my device. Do they work on yours?
I have also contacted both companies and asked if they are planning to release a WM 5.0 compatible version and they both replied that they are in the process.
So, how did you manage to get an animated gif on your today screen? Or are you just giving links to a place where you THINK has the answer?
i have macromedia flash installed but those themes wont work unless you have flash dash installed, atleast on my phone. How did you get them to work on your phone.
Basically, I am asking for step by step help on getting my today page to have some sort of animated picture
I don't use it but it looks like you need to have that program installed along with macromedia flash to get it to work. If you are trying to get it to work without installing the program, you're out of luck as the device out of the box does not support it.
I dont think anyone with a 6700 actually has the program installed and running, I just think they know this is the solution for previous PPC phones so they are merely directing you in the right direction. Maybe you could actually try the program and post your results for us to learn from.

Now that, is probably the best post in this thread... Bravo!
