If the phone goes into sleep mode when the backlight is dimmed, when it is turned back on it will be dimmed. I would like it to be bright again, so I can use it without holding down the power button for a few seconds.

backlight

Just touch the screen, it will turn the backlight back on
or you can just press the call end button or the windows button or just move the thumb button/toggle.

make sure you're not holding down the power button too long.

it toggles the backlight off/on when you hold it down.
