Just got my PPC-6700

Ok so I have this phone now. I am enjoying it completely. Of course I want to know the obvious preliminary steps to getting this thing running smoothly. I have heard about people deleting everything and starting from scratch, as well as just removing several programs. I just want everything to work without having to do anything that requires me to have to call sprint and reactivate my phone. At the moment I am broswing through the tips and tweaks..It just gets confusing when another forum says one thing about something and of course the contrary says another. But anyway.. to make a long story short. I want to know the best way to get this thing running out of the box. I don't want to input any contacts in just yet because I feel that I'm going to have to reinstall the OS or something (which might require me to do a hard reset or something) and I have a lot of contacts.

PS. Hopefully this makes sense.

see Rally1's post on the 5th page in this thread:

After you do that, enable whatever hacks you wish from the tips and tricks thread. Since this is a redundant thread, I am going to go ahead and close it, hope that is ok with you. Any questions on the removing junkware procedure, post them in the thread I linked for you. Thanks!
