In addition to the PPC-6700 I also own a HP hx4705 and I would like to use Dial-up Networking on the hx4705 to sync Avantgo and email, but I cannot seem to get it to work.
I can Tether via my Laptop over Bluetooth with out any issues using the wmodem utility, but when I try to accomplish the same thing on the hx4705, I don't get any status light on the wmodem utility, and eventually the hx4705 responds with an unable to connect error message (The connection failed and could not be reestablished).
I am using the following process:
1. Make sure PPC-6700 is on and not connected to EVDO, and start the Wmodem Utility and select 'Bluetooth'.
2. I made sure to pair the devices together.
3. I used the BT Wizard on the hx4705 and used the Connect to Internet via phone wizard (used Unkown, or phone not listed as the phone selection)
4. Selected to make a new connection, called it 'Sprint Vision' and user #777 for the phone number, and made sure to un-tick the wait for dial tone, and ahave tried various Buad rates.
By the way I was able to use the PPC-6700 as a Infrared Dial-up modem with the hx4705, but it is not an ideal situation.
funny along with llogging on to check forum updates I was going to post a message regaurding the same thing. I too have an hx4705 and having the same problems u are having. I am determined today to get this to work. I think if I follow the dun via bluetooth howto for macs I may have a shot.

Did sprint leave out Bluetooth DUN services on your devices like verizon did on mine? IF so try the program in this thread on your PPCPE and then try to tether. IT got my SCH i730 and JasJar talking to each other.
I'm able to tether my jasjar to my 6700. As a matter of fact I found that I didn't even have to start the wmodem program to get it work. The first time I did then I noticed throughout the day that my jasjar was alerting me of new mail and I couldn't figure out how it was able to connect without using the wmodem program, so I sat an watched and sure enough the jasjar did bluetooth dun without me doing anything. The only thing I did to enable my 6700 as a dialup modem for my jasjar was pair my jasjar to the 6700 then setup my 6700 as a bluetooth modem under the jasjar's connection settings.
