Reliability issues

I am currently "using" a HP6315 PDA phone, one of the worst phones I have ever had. It constantly becomes constipated and freezes up on me, reuiring me to reboot the phone pproximaltely 6 times on any given day. T-Mobile and HP should be ashamed of themselves allowing such a poorly designed phone to be placed on the market.

Never the less, I still need a pocket PC type PDA phone, to avoid looking like I am wearing a Batman utility belt. I have had my eye on the 6700 phone.

I have a number of medical programs loaded on to it as well as a large word document directory.

Am I going to have problems with the new 6700 phone freezing up on me, or becoming slugish, or having to reboot it several times a day.

Feedback would be most welcome.

Also, Does anyone know if or when verizon is going to be carrying this phone?

Thanks

Any freezing or sluggishness issues would most likely be caused by 3rd party software, so it's hard to say if you would experience these problems with the 6700.

I run my 6700 pretty much stock and have very very few problems with it.

All I can say is try it (there's a 14-day trial period before you're locked into a contract), put it through its paces, and see how it goes.

Keep in mind that a new firmware version will be released in the next couple of months that should fix some of the bugs and add some features.

Hello and welcome to pdaphonehome.com, I see you are new here. In general, it is a good idea to do a search before starting a new thread as often times, your question will have already been extensively discussed (especially newbie questions). By doing a search first, you not only get your answer quicker, but you help to keep redundant threads to a minimum.

However, since you are new here, I will do the search for you this one time. By searching for "Verizon," I have located the following thread for you.

http://www.pdaphonehome.com/forums/s...hlight=verizon

Here are some more searches for you to review:

"Freezing":
http://www.pdaphonehome.com/forums/s...der=descending

"Sluggish"
http://www.pdaphonehome.com/forums/s...der=descending

Please review these threads FIRST and then if you have further questions, post the applicable ones in this appropriate thread(s).

Since this is a redundant thread, I am going to go ahead and close it, I hope this is ok with you. I hope you find this information useful, please always remeber to search first before posting, and once again, welcome to pdaphonehome.com.
