unable to read e-mail no new window opens

I am able to download e-mail from multiple accounts, however I am unable to click on an e-mail and read it. It looks like a windows is opening and it never does. Minimizing the program doesn't help, there is no hidden window. I am at a loss, this effects all e-mails accounts, but SMS works fine. Any ideas? I have gone through, I believe, every setting as well as googled the heck out of it as well as searched here, anyone have any idea?

Thanks in advance,
Rik

how recent was that? They sent me, about two weeks ago, a WM5 version that is not listed on their website. It is definitely a pain, not that I really use it for e-mail composition, but it is handy to refer back to an e-mail in meetings....everything else about the phone and mnotes is awesome. Best phone I have every had, but I don't mod for the most part, the only tweaks/additional software I have is Microsofts voice software, verichat, mnotes and Magic button.

Still looking for a decent tabbed browser that keeps websites in proper perspective.

Rik, are you using mNotes 4.1?

COMPATIBILITY: mNotes 4.1 works fine with Windows Mobile 5.0 Pocket PC
Posted by Arne Hess - at Wednesday, 30.11.05 - 20:12:01 CET under 2 - Pocket PC News - Viewed 144x

During the past weeks I got a couple of E-Mails from the::unwired readers as well as from friends and co-workers if there is a solution which syncs Windows Mobile 5.0 Pocket PCs with Lotus Notes.
In many corporate environments, Lotus Notes is used instead of Outlook and therefore ActiveSync (even if required to establish a synchronization channel between the PC and the Pocket PC) is not synching the Lotus Notes calendar, contacts, inbox or tasklist.
In the past, many users used "Cadenza" from CommonTime to get Windows Mobile devices synced with the PC local but since the release of Windows Mobile 5.0 it was unclear if mNotes (the new name of Cadenza) still works with Microsoft's latest Windows Mobile version and it does!

I've recently contacted CommonTime and got the confirmation that mNotes 4.1 works fine with Windows Mobile 5.0. mNotes 4.1 for Windows Mobile 5.0 provides you:

* Mail
o Full folder and multiple mail file support
o Full attachment support
o Remote forwarding
o Accept/decline/counterpropose/delegate meeting invitations
o Push new mail automatically
* Contacts
o Support for multiple personal, public and custom Notes address books
o View contacts by categories, individually or in combination
o Support filtering of any address book
o Import/export of contacts
* Calendar
o Free time searching
o No loss of data integrity for true repeating entries and custom repeaters
o Meetings notices handled just like Notes
o Room and resource reservation
o Multiple calendar support
o Push new data automatically
* Tasks
o Complete delegated tasks, with notification sent to delegator
o Multiple task list support
o Optional archiving of completed tasks
* Journal
o Take notes on your Pocket PC and replicate them to the desktop/server for office based access

I dont have (or even know of) mnote and I have the same problem.
If i click the email button, esp after a restart (several times daily) then it tries to open but doesnt.
I have to select messages from the start menu and then it works fine.

Mine happens right after a reboot. I have not installed any 3rd party apps except for Verichat. And I just rebooted and checked, RAM is about half free.

No, I have checked that and actually I have very little extra programs installed too, so both memory spaces have plenty of room.
