Any suggestions for a different phone app that work similar to treo?

Hi switched to audiovox 6700 from a treo 650.
I love the audiovox 6700 but hate the phone app.
Is there a phone app out there similar to the treo 650 but would work on the 6700?
Thank you,
G'Net

Looking for a replacement for the phone app to address specific concerns

I'm looking for a phone app to replace the standard one on the 6700 because I have a number of problems with it. Namely, I wish that it had:

1. larger on-screen numbers to make touchscreen dialing easier
2. less cumbersome access to the speakerphone
3. less cumbersome access to earpiece and ringer volumes
4. better speed dials
5. favorites (like on the Treo 650)
6. better call history that can be accessed from the phone button (like on the Treo 650)

If anyone knows of any replacements, please post them. I've searched and not been able to find anything. The phone side of the 6700 is so bad that I've been using my 650 for all phone calls but I'd rather be able to get rid of it and just have one device.

Is there some specific functionality you are hoping for?

- drop-down/easy acces to recent call list?
- an easier way to call back recently dialed numbers?
- better handling of favorites/speed- dialing?
- easier activation of speakerphone?
- bigger on-screen buttons?
- easier contact lookup?

I'm not sure there is a replacement phone app out there for the 6700/WM5 that can offer any/all of these features but if you let us know what you are looking for, then maybe someone can suggest some workarounds or 3rd party non-dialer apps that may lessen some or all of your issues.

That software looks alright. If they could integrate a speakerphone button (instead of the 6700's clumsy speakerphone menu) and add a threaded SMS app, it'd be really nice.

I'm going to have to give it a try. Thanks for the link.

this looks promising, please let us know how you like it. even though it says its for WM2003SE and later, does not specifically mention WM5.

That Patola software looks pretty buggy. Too many problems reported and very poor reports of customer/technical support.
