Seeing as how the PPC-6601 was one of the lowest radiation emitting phones (see here: http://reviews.cnet.com/4520-6602_7-...1.html?tag=nav), it is a wonder that the PPC-6700 emits 8-10 times the radiation.

Why? They're two totally different phones.

speaking of radiation...

is anyone familiar with the effects of the available "signal boosters" that are basically stickers that you put on your battery that have an antenna mechanism built in...

do these works?
do they significantly increase the radiation levels?

mine came also with a little thing that "blocks radiation" from your head or whatever...do these works and should they be used in conjunction?

i have no clue...hopefully someone knows.

thanks,

-jeff

I used to work at Radio Shack and someone brought in about 20 of those stickers.
It would take most of our phones and bring them from no service or 1 bar to about 2-3 bars.
However they didnt work on all of the phones and you had to place the sticker in a specific spot for it to work well.

As far as radiation goes, I have no idea.

When I first saw them, I figured it was a scam. But the guy sold them to use for $1 each and it was able to give some phones service in the mall when there usually wasn't any service.

If you do try them get them off ebay, you can find them for like $5/with shipping for 10 of them
