Associate a file with application (other than using Resco)??

Is there anyway besides Resco Explorer to associate a file type with an application? Does Total Commander do this? I hate to buy Resco just for this since I can do most everything else with Total Commander.

Thanks, that's what I'm using. Where is this option? I don't see it on the program or the page you linked to. Maybe I'm just missing it.

I sheepishly admit to downloading the trail version again for Resco Explorer and handling it that way. It seems like the crippled version (trail time expired) from Resco will still allow you to do stuff if you try it often enough. I didn't want to buy the software because that is the only function I really needed that I couldn't get elsewhere.

Need Help

After Installing Netfront and then uninstalling it my ".htm" and ".html" files are no longer associated with iexplore.exe (Internet Explorer). I tried to use Resco but after associating those file types to Internet Explorer, File Explorer opens up! Is there a way to change the associations from the registry? What is the default values and where are the keys located that Netfront screwed up???

PocketTweak also lets you associate files and it's freeware.

Jeff,
No good.... it does the same thing, when associated to Internet Explorer it opens File Explorer and locks up...grrrr. Netfront did a number on my registry. I do not recommend installing it to try it out. I don't know what else to try, Ill check out pocket tweaks.
