Can you charge phone while online

Will the PPC 6700 charge while your are online. I have the AC charger plugged in and am listening to SIRUS, but the unit doesn't seem to charge when I am listening. If I close WM and Sirius and get offline it seems to start charging again. Can anyone give me insight on this. Thanks

It is charging, but really slowly. I surf while charging and it works, but the charging time is extended.
