Web Browser Size / Slow Processor Speed???

I saw the 6700 at the Sprint store last night. I am not sure if it was defective or not, but it was SO SLOW! Are others experiencing slow applications? Also the web browser seemed pretty useless. Is there a way to minimize the content / font sizes to get more detail on the screen? My friend has the previous PPC where the keyboard comes out of the bottom of the PocketPC. The screen on that when browsing the web seemed better.

You must have been out of the EVDO range. With a little tweaking, you can make the fonts and scroll bars smaller, enable smooth scrolling, its not bad at all.

Here's what a tweaked PIE looks like after some reg hacks....notice the thin scroll bar and fullscreen mode landscaped...

And yes...its worth it

Smile Here ya go....

Thinning the scroll bar required me to use Tweaks2k2.net software (worth buying IMHO) http://www.tweaks2k2.com/portal/filemgmt/
. Try the trial version and you can test it out.

Open tweaks2k2.net application, go to

Tweaks->System Tricks->System Tricks-> collection 2 tab -> checkbox Narrow the Scroll bars (I have mine set at 7)

For smaller letters in PIE:
Tweaks->Internet Tricks->PIE tab -> checkbox Small Letters in PIE

For PIE Smooth Scrolling (use this if you get annoyed with weblink scrolling (PIE default)):
Tweaks->Internet Tricks->PIE tab -> checkbox PIE Smooth Scrolling
NOTE: you can also find the reg hack for this on a 6700 thread here now for this scrolling hack (credit goes to R_yed for posting this reg hack-> http://www.pdaphonehome.com/forums/s...ooth+scrolling

Enjoy,
Oly
