Angry Bluetooth automatically getting disabled / turned off by itself on my 6700

My PPC 6700 seems to keep turning the bluetooth off by itself which makes answering calls on the Plantronics 320 I paired it to tricky. I turn on the headset and the pairing works, but then, it seems that at random times, the connection becomes unhinged and when i try to answer a call, it rings to the phone but not the headset and i see that the bluetooth is shut off somehow. Is anybody else experiencing this? If i'm doing something inadvertently to shut off bluetooth, your advice is greatly appreciated.

Yep; seeing the same thing; although for me it's often if I leave the phone alone for a long time (i.e. overnight)

Weird that this just randomly happens. Do you suppose it's just a bug, or some kind of power saving feature? In my case, i can be carrying the bt headset and the phone and by the time i'm done with dinner, the link's gone and the bt's shut off. Kinda sucks.

Yes... My issue is probably related to Mapopolis and bluetooth gps.

I'm seeing the same thing... On a fresh install, nothing added to it.

Same Thing

My PPC-6700 is 'turnng off bluetooth' at random points. one time it even 'flashed' (changed lines) on its own in the middle of a conversation.

I am pretty PO'd about this considering this is supposed to be the latest and greatest.

If anyone hears anything about a fix or if a workaround becomes available - an email would be appreciated.

While my bluetooth is not turning off. It seems like I loose the "hands free" check on my bluetooth headset device. This may be related to the phone coming out of sleep.

I thought that I was experiencing the same issue, until I realized that if I held the end call button for too long that is shuts off the wireless and bluetooth.

Haven't noticed if it happens on its own over a prologned period of time.

Mine is disconnecting as well. It seems it happens more frequently when I press the button on my headset to disconnect a call... I'll have to pay more attention to it. Has anyone tried to mess with the reg. changes that are posted above?

Yes. It drives me nuts. I have to manually turn it back on frequently...it seemed to start after installing iGuidance. Don't know what the cause of it is, but it is very annoying.

Bluetooth with crash/turn of if you suspend the 6700 while ANY software is using a GPS over BT..

Happens with both Iguidance and GPSDash2 for me.. Just make sure the programs are closed before you suspend the 6700.

Mine shut off today in the MIDDLE of a call. All of a sudden, it was just gone. After the call, I checked the comm manager and sure enough, BT was off. It's not the first time that's happened.

I don't run ANY software or apps that did not come with the phone.

The 6700 sure has a bunch of unwanted issues.

Bob

I have this problem and don't use GPS. It may be worse with GPS but even without it I have to manually turn bluetooth back on.
