Plays just fine on mine. It's a 44,100 kHz 16 bit mono wav file I'm using as a ringer, and I just opened it up in WM10 on the phone just fine.

TCPMP had no problem playing the wav file (thanks). I wonder why wmp10 wont play it. The wav file properties are:

Bit Rate - 64kbs
Audio Sample Size - 8bit
Channels - 1(mono)
Audio sample rate - 8khz
Audio format - CCITT u-Law

I'm guessing it's probably the audio format since it's not pcm.

Thoughts?

Edit:

Well, this KB article says that codec is support my WMP although maybe the mobile version is different:

Awsome. cool now I can listen to my unified voicemail messages. Now if I can only get a free very simple soft phone that will work with our cisco's I did find one, but it only last for 20 minutes, and lets you talk for 2.

and they want a 100 bucks for it.

callvantage

Well I guess I have made the switch from my dear old treo 650 to the ppc6700. I can read the screen just fine and so far all is ok.
BUT (you knew that was comming didn't you).. I have at&t callvantage phone system. The thing I liked best about this system is that it sends me an email with a wav file attched that has my voicemail in it. With my treo 650 I used mmplayer and it would play the wav file. The real player and pocket tunes with not play it.. SOOOO I have the same exact problem now with the ppc6700. The media player does not play these wav files. Does anyone here know what program I will need to get to play the wav files that at&t callvantage system sends me??

There are threads in here about the PPC 6700 and .wav files.
You should read them.

Hello and welcome to pdaphonehome.com, I see you are new here. In general, it is a good idea to do a search before starting a new thread as often times, your question will have already been extensively discussed (especially newbie questions). By doing a search first, you not only get your answer quicker, but you help to keep redundant threads to a minimum.

However, since you are new here, I will do the search for you this one time. By searching for "wav," I have located this current thread and merged it with the one you created. Please review this thread FIRST and then if you have further questions, post the applicable ones in this thread.

I hope you find this information useful, please always remeber to search first before posting, and once again, welcome to pdaphonehome.com.

There is another thread posted about this. Try a "wav" search.
