I too use my 6700 while taking care of business. I recently had an event that took a few years from my life.
After finishing my work I put the phone back in the factory holster and stood up... Then things kind of went into bullet-time. I heard the phone remove itself from the holster. Turning with horror, I watched as the phone fell close to the open toilet.. It hit the seat and bounced closer to the hole... And then fell to the gound on the other side. Battery went one way, phone went another and the battery cover went under some dudes feet...
It could have been worse I guess but I will probably put the thing in my pocket instead of the case until I get to the sink....
Oh, and after cleaning the phone with lysol everything was A-OK. Not even a scratch.

I too almost fumbled the phone in the stall at the movies the other night. I just managed to keep a grasp of it before it went "chiplook!" into the water.
Downtime is up time with the 6700 is going to be my new sig!

Yes, I have done this. It's not like I plan to go surfing or anything else while doing my business, but wow have these converged device changed the way I spend what normally would be unproductive time.
Now I can honeslty tell people that I will be in the library doing work and reading when I havepersonal business to take care of.
And the whole dropping the phone thing... dont ever trust anything doesn't have velcro and has belt loops! T
When I'm out to eat with the family, on occassion I will excuse myself to go the bathroom, with the intent of checking a score. One time, I actually did have to go. While in the stall, I found out that the Yanks made a 9th inning come-back. Well of course, I let out a hearty "Yes!". I got some strange stares as I exited the busy bathroom with a big smile on my face...
I always either surf the web, play some solitiare or write an email when planting a fence post, throwing a slider low and away or cuttin the cord.......
When using public restrooms, I usually check email. I've always played with my phone, and probably have sent more SMS messages using the toilet than any other time. After all, when else would I have had the patience to type with number input??? (When I had a non-pda phone)
At home, I use my laptop. Set it on top the trashcan and it makes the best desk a man could ask for! Oh yeah, my desk chair is the elongated version.

LOL... Three in a row that didn't appear on George Carlin's "Incomplete List of Impolite Words". Congrats!
I was just stepping out of the restroom when a co-worker said he sent me a question about a current project. Said, "I know, and I just replied," while holding up my PPC-6700. For some reason he was disgusted by that. I mean, it's not like I sent a video message or something.

Thing is, now he knows when he reads that message, that you were taking a dump and probably making push faces while writing your reply and that will gross him out! That's what dude gets for taking business where it should be taken.
That's why the ppc 6700's motto should be: With the PPC 6700, down time is uptime.
