Email: can it do separate authenication?

I have a few email accounts I like to poll during the day from my phone (I currently have a 6601). The problem I have with WM2003 is that in the Outlook email that comes on the phone, you cannot have a different login/password for the outgoing server.

Is it still this way in WM2005? Is there and *easy* way around it if it is still this way?

Thanks!!

Yes SMTP Auth was added in the WMP10 build of WM2003SE actually, and it still exists in WM5.

Great!!! How about the issue I have read in some threads about only polling the currently selected account instead of all accounts at the given time?

I'd like to have my phone go out every X minutes and check all 4 of my email accounts. Push would be better, but working on that separately (company is putting up an Exchange 2003 server with SP2 and the stuff for push to WM5!).

Thanks!

No, it only polls the currently selected account. There were some reports on howardforms.com that multiple account polling was working on the Wizard, but that hasn't been confirmed, and even so, the 6700 doesn't work that way (from mine and others' experiences here).

So what is the answer if you want to have multiple accounts polled?

Can you have push do it? Someone told me that you could setup folders in Exchange 2003, have emails forwarded there and have rules to move the incoming to specific folders and then have it all pushed to the phone. True?

This is the one thing that is still holding me back. I need to find a way to get all my accounts to download without me having to do anything, and with it alerting me when I have email.

Am I out of luck?
