I use cleaning cloths made for computer monitor screens with a very light spray of monitor cleaning solution. Works well for me and we already have tons of this stuff for our servers. On the road I just use an eyeglass cleaning cloth, very small and easy to carry and I have one around anyone for my glasses.

I have some Zeiss eyeglasses cleaning wipes which contain alcohol. Can these be used on PDA screens?

The ONLY thing I will use to clean LCD's is klear screen singles. They come in a two-part foil pack that has a wet wipe and a dry lint-free cloth. After cleaning it with the wipes, I give a final polish with a microfiber cloth.

Do not use anything that has alcohol or ammonia in it!

If you have screen protectors on the screen, you can use any wipe that is safe for tinted windows. At places like Big Lots you can find them at a quarter of the price of real screen wipes.

I use them for my PPC and Tablet, they are just barely damp, so no worries about excess moisture.

I don't think that alcohol is bad, I've even heard that if you submerge your phone or other electronic device in water, you can save it by removing the battery and quickly dumping it in alcohol. It's supposed to displace the water. I'll let someone else figure out if it's actually true.

Best way to clean the screen?

What's the best way to clean the screen before applying a screen protector? A little Windex on a cloth? An alcohol pad? Shoe polish?

Thanks in advance.
