keyboard illuminates upon opening? please?

i've seen this mentioned in several threads...i think it deserves its own thread as i would greatly like to see a solution for it...

when it's dark and i open the keyboard, i can't see to press the first key! it should light up as soon as you open it so you can find your way...

is there any solution for this? i assume some command is run when it slides out to change to landscape mode...so there must be a way to give it another command...

thanks,

-jeff

Yeah, that's what I do, too. It's a pretty obvious key and a "harmless" one at that.

I guess I'd have to agree that the keyboard not lighting up once sliding out into position is kind of a gaff. However, I wouldn't be surprised if that is added as a user-definable feature in the first update.
