Did you use the cradle?

I've been concerned that repeatedly pulling the phone out of the cradle puts pressure on the USB jack, which could cause a poor connection. The problem comes from pulling the phone forward when removing it. Even though I've got the insurance, I'm not going to use the cradle. My 6700 works great, not going to risk a replacement that could have "issues".

I have only used the cradle once or twice, mostly just plugged into my laptop with the normal usb cable attached.

I have the exact same problem. Starting today, I can no longer charge the battery/phone or activesync with my desktop. I had originally placed 6700 in the cradle, came back and notice that there was 20% battery left, the exact same amount that was there 2 hours ago, when I placed it in the charger. On closer inspection I noticed only a flashing green light, not the constant light you would expect when charging. Also, when looking at the batter meter on the pda, i noticed it was not showing the charging symbol. And I am not sure how this happened. RIght now, my only way to use my phone, is to take out the battery, place it in the spare battery charger part of the cradle/base and wait till gets charged. This is obviously not conducive to everyday life

So does anyone else have a problem the usb connection not charging and not activesync. I am going to call sprint tomorrow and ask for a new phone. Heck I have only this phone for a week.

Any chance this is related to the problem I posted here:

Although, I can often get the charge to work but not the sync.

Almost the same problem

I have been having the same problem with my charging. I have never even taken my cradle out of the box since I have recieved my phone. The problem is that for some reason I can hardly get my phone to charge anymore. Neither the USB or the car charger will turn on the charging light. I have tried to do both a hard and soft reset on the phone, as of late, it seems to be a random roll of the dice if my phone will actually charge. I am just wondering if this is an issue where I should turn my current phone in for an insurance replacement?

Whenever I've had these problems with the cradle, it's because I haven't pushed the phone all the way down on the connector. A little gentle back and forth wiggling usually does it. It goes down more than you might think.

bad cable here too.

My usb cable failed at the mini end, now I have to twist it just right to connect. I had used it for just six months. I just ordered a new upgraded 2.0 cable from seidio, they state a faster data transfer rate with this cable, has anyone tried it yet, that will support their claim?
