When I first installed it last week, it got the next 7 days forcasts just fine. Now it wont update at all? I try telling it to refresh the city, but nothing. I tried docking it, nothing. I told it to autoupdate every 5 hours, nothing...Anyone else having any problems with it...?

I'm having this same problem with mine

Send an email to Spb regarding the problem. They are aware of it and will send you a patch (application that will force update) that will work until an update is released.

i just did a OTA update and it worked fine. SPB has had this issue off and on for years and it depends on which part of the country your in. a quick fix is to uninstall thru AS soft reset and then reinstall. also delete the saved prefs for spb.

I have a patched version that fixed the font color and all is well.

I mis-spoke. Just looked again my weather has not updated since 10/07.

I have a patched version I got from SPB that fixed a font color (always black) on the version I downloaded from their site.

SPB Weather updates every time I sync on my 6700.

I have reinstalled and still no updates; won't update at the every hour setting or manual update. I have SPB PP installed also.

I reported this to SPB last week; after a one-day response on fixing the font color problem, I haven't even gotten an acknowlegement e-mail from them on this problem.

My patched version corrected the ALWAYS BLACK font color--I'm not aware of a patched sync version.

Unzip, move to device and tap to run the update app.

SPB Weather on a PPC-6700

I have the updates set to every hour, but the weather NEVER updates. When I try a manual update or refresh, I get a "please estaboish Internet connection" message. I am connected to the internet through SPRINT 1X, sometimes SPRINT EVDO, and almost always through my home and work WiFi connection. I can load web pages from all these connections.

Is there a connection setting for SPB Weather?

What is and where did you get this file.... is this an alternate to SPB Weather--it does not have the same file name as I downloaded from their web site.

It is an app "temporary fix" that Spb sent me when I contacted them regarding their program not updating on the 6700.

I unzipped and moved it to my device but when I click nothing happens. Update app is not an option.

By tapping/running it, it did not update your weather? It works on my device.

If I tap it (tried several times) nothing happens. If I click a long time it gives me the standard copy, rename etc.

Boe you are not going to see anything happen, when you tap the application it updates the weather info Spb weather is not doing. Each time you tap it, it updates. It is not a patch to be installed, just a temporary fix until Spb updates the program.

Is your weather info being updated by tapping the application?

Wow big difference! Not to complain, but just to be clear--this does NOT fix SPB Weather, it is simply ANOTHER application that you need to run to manually update the weather info? I guess it IS shorter than reinstalling to update the data!!

Thanks I appreciate the help. It does show the data but it shows it as 2 hours old even though I set it to update every hour. How do I get it to autoupdate?
