How large is your windows folder?

My device->windows

Mine is 70MB.

Seems big and I feel like I have a memory leak. Can I get a few of you to post?

While you are at it take a look at the "profiles" folder inside.
All you need to do is hold down on the folder and click properties.

Thanks a lot

Okay, this is much closer to what mine looks like after a hard reset. Mine was 13mb+ before.

It seems like a lot of junk can get built up in here. takmsdsm, are you purging this stuff manually or do you use different settings?

I have a "guest" subfolder with TIF, cookies and history. Does everyone else concur? (I should have looked before the hard reset but didn't)

thx

i dunno. i use Tweaks2k2 to move out any shared dlls to the storage card which netted me about 1mb and deleted the phoneoff.wav which is 700kb. havent done much else except move the IE cache to the card (this could where the difference is)

That is exactly what the difference is. IE cache can really add up. It appears that there is not limit.

Thanks

How do you figure out how large your windows folder is? There doesn't seem to be any way to see the size of folders via a PC with activesync and the built-in file explorer doesn't seem to let you see folder sizes either...

SPB pocket plus will give you this functionality for sure. I think that Resco Explorer does as well. But since I run them both it is harder to tell which program is doing what,

Mine was 75Mb and now 65Mb after I removed a bunch of mspeed tests in my guest profile. I used Sprite's Space Detective to find and remove these files. Seems like version 3.0 of Sprite Backup works on the 6700, but not the back up part of it, so I just kept the other tools.

Have you tried to delete all of the content in the ie tools>options>storage tab? Got me down into the 50s.

As far as I can tell there is no point in keeping all of this cache. Especially with wifi and evdo.

I have noticed zero slowdowns when browsing as well, even with 1xrtt.

Nice, that got me down to 60Mb! I'll have to do that once a week or so. I get my 1Gb MiniSD card today/tomorrow, so I'll be less worried.
