EVDO help getting on in DC

I just got my phone Friday (in Washington DC) and can't get on via EVDO. It just says "connecting..." but never connects.

My phone shows the EV icon, but CS tells me that EVDO is NOT available in my area, so ... no help.

Anyone in WDC have good EVDO? Or should I be doing something else to connect, since CS is no help at all.

Can you connect to 1xrt. A long shot might be to update your phone with prl 20216 via *2.

EVDO connecting

I feel dumb now. Took out the battery and replaced it and it works.

EVDo at 600 kb/sec
