Media Player 10 resets long MP3 files after power suspend...any way around that?

I am trying to listen to long (30MB) MP3 files that are roughly 3 hours long...clearly, I start/stop listening as time allows...

The problem is that after a "power down", when you try to play the MP3 file from where you left off...with the screen tantalizingly on the right spot of the file...it plays roughly half a second of the part you want, then MOVES ON TO THE NEXT MP3 file, dropping the place in the current file.

Very annoying.

I need a form of "bookmark" to mark where I was in the MP3 file, and then return to it when I want to...

Any ideas? Any help?

Does this happen with every mp3 file you've tried? Even short music files?

Interestingly...no, it does not. Apparently this only occurs with long files. A "regular" music file does not suffer from this...

A bug?

Were all of the long mp3 files encoded by the same person using the same encoder? If so, it is potentially a problem with just those few files.
