This is the thing that just KILLS me about earbuds. The design is just, well, stupid. Mushroom tips, at the very least, would have been better. Funnel tips are good. I have a pair of earphones I bought 2 years ago that are AIWA brand. They have the soft mushroom tips which fit and STAY in my ears. Those headphones are THE best but AIWA stopped making them for some reason.

The stock earphones that came with my 6700 also don't have foam so I'm going to see if I can find a couple of those covers somewhere. What would be nice is to find some silicone pieces or something. These sound good AND, for earbuds, they actually FIT. Most earbuds are so friggin' big they not only fall out they HURT.

Foam Earbud Covers

I've found covers at Walmart and RadioShack. Yes, even pink ones.

Anyone have suggestions for stereo earbud/mic combos that wind up or have some sort of detangling device (other than my time)?

Send a message via AIM to Morphiend

i didnt notice until i tried it but the stock headphones with the 6700 have 3 "tick marks" while the headphones and the adapter from the treo only have 2..thus the treo adapters wont work with the 6700.

after reading this thread i went to radio shack and got some foam pads for the earphones and they work pretty well. before the earphones killed after like 15 minutes..now i can leave em in for at least an hour or 2

Verizon has the Jabra EarGels in a Stereo version. I'm using them on my 6601. They go in, they STAY in! and they're LOUD!!!

Sadly, they cost $29.99, so treat them well.
