EV-DO in Louisville would be good news! I've been thru there three times in the last three weeks or so (including this past Monday) without a sniff of EV-DO.

The recording is meaningless... it's based on a timer and is just there to keep you on the line. If you successfully got the update then it usually finishes well before the voice tells you so. If your device information screen says you have PRL 20216 then you have it... no need to do anything.

Sprint customer service is telling me I don't need an update. I'm at 20215 right now. Is there some secret handshake I need?

The Sprint people are saying 20215 is the latest version for the 6700. What gives?

they said the same thing to me but i told them the new version is 20216 so they just then flag your account, then u call back and it then allows u to upgrade after u dial *2, it will then recognize u need this update BUT only after u talk to the person and they make a notation on your account

You have to be a member of the Stonecutters....better call Homer Simpson and get him to bring you to a meeting

EVDO still not working at my house, but seems to be rock solid in downtown Lousville and 8 miles surrounding airport after PRL update. Steaming my TiVo through ORB right now at 200Kbps!

That was easy !
I called *2, asked for the prl update. No questions. I dialed *2 back in 5 min., and it did the update and it reset my phone for me. Now I'm at the ***16 PRL.

No EV at my house , oh well.
