How do you get it working, when I go to send a fax I get an error message that it can't open Com2.

There's no analog modem capability in this phone, period... so TrueFax isn't going to work.

When I query the modem in the 6700 it does not report any fax abilities, this could be what he's referring to. I can not verify either way though, it could just need software to make it work, or he could be correct and the hardware just is not there.

MDA and XDA are GSM devices, and GSM radios continue to support analog capability. Recent CDMA radios no longer support it.

If you need to send faxes, I suggest using a fax-email gateway such as Efax.

This seems to be saying the modem supports fax commands...

Nevermind, he's correct, you can not set class to 1 or 2.0 which would be needed. Fax is not supported.
