Moving from i500 to i6700

Got my i6700 today with no hassles even tho I'm on a consumer acct. I want to switch my service from my i500 (with regrets) to the 6700. I know I need an esn switch... do I also have to get the 6700 provisioned? Read most posts and couldn't find appropriate answer. THANKS!!--

Mark-- It was no sweat... called Sprint tech support and lucked into a Level I guy who actually knew what he was doing. He had me go in and put my phone # I was swapping off the i500 in a couple of spots (MSDN? and one more). Phone recycled and subsequently provisioned with the right stuff.

The provisioning is automatic. All you need to do is call customer service and say you want to do an ESN swap. They will have you give your mobile phone number and the ESN number of the 6700. Then they'll step you through a simple programmng procedure (whereby you input your phone number and MSID number into the phone). After that the phone will reboot and provisioning will take place automatically. Then, anywhere from a few seconds to a few hours later your 6700 will be fully working for voice and data.

what about the service plan? did they grandfather you in, or did you have to pay exstra for the high speed vision service?

Mark--
I treated it as a simple ESN swap from the start. After walking me thru my end of the process, he took a look at my plan and said that Vison may be different for the 6700-- never explained. After looking at my plan (2000 minutes/unlimited Vision),
he said I was fine.
This was around 3:30pm and I'm not provisioned yet but hope springs eternal, etc, Good luck...
