6700 Battery LIfe: How does it compare to 6600?

Now that these have been out there a while, how is the battery life?

Does half the RAM really make that much difference in battery life?

How about the Newer OS - Does it have an impact upon battery life?

TIA,

Bob Duckworth

Hi Bob,

I would guess that the 6700 is 20-40% better than the 6600. I can take a fully charged 6700 and pretty much be good for an entire day regardless of what I get thrown at me.

The 6600 got me in trouble a few times.

I will maintain that it is better than the 6600 but not as good as a 650.

Re: 6700 Battery LIfe: How does it compare to 6600?

Besides the benefit of not having arbitrary hard resets due to the battery, I thinks it's close to a draw with a possible edge going to the 6700.

When my 6600 is freshly hard reset and apps/files/skins are installed is when the edge may go to the 6700. But, when both have been running with their full contingent of apps for a period of time, I believe it will be a draw or damn close to it. I've only had my 6700 for a week now, and I'm hard resetting my 6600 this weekend to draw some conclusions, but the above is what my reasoning is telling me. The absence of WiFi on the 6600 helps with its battery life a bit also.

Thanks guys. Just curious as the 6600 was very tight without the 2400 mAh Lion battery. Just wondering what to expect if and when VZW coughs it out.

BTW, thanks for all the troubleshooting/proofing you guys are doing with the device.

It should be a known quantity very soon.

Thanks,

Bob Duckworth
