wireless modem working or not?

can't find a thread on this subject...

anyone get the 6700 to work as a wireless modem for their pc/laptop? i think i have all the settings correct but it's not giving me a connection - has sprint disabled this or do i need the data card ev-do plans rather than vision?

thanks that was really easy - i didn't know what "DUN" was - not to mention the help file for the wireless modem on the PDA is useless - that .doc is great.

thanks,

-jeff

Thanks--I don't mind a USB cable until BT DUN is added.

ok i have gotten the wireless modem to work on both my desktop and laptop - the problem is that it only works for like 30 seconds - i have been able to browse like 3-5 websites on each computer before it stops working - i just tried it, had 2 bars and evdo connection and same thing - the receive light stops flashing when i try to access a website, just the send light and the connection light are on - no receiving...anyone else experience this? know what the problem may be?

thanks,

-jeff

I'm using the USB connection to a laptop with no problems and not getting disconnected. Did you use the drivers from the CD that came with the 6700? Did you move the dialer.exe over to the laptop so that you don't have to use the CD each time. Is there a particular website where it seems to drop?

This sounds like a really weird problem and could be tough to nail down. Why not give a much detail as possible.

i used the install method as indicated by the .doc file on the cd

the .exe file is on my desktop and everything works great...for a minute...then it just stops receiving data - maybe it's the weak ev-do signal i have in south miami...
