Looking for repeating alarm prgram besides Phone Alarm......

Anybody using a repeating alarm app that works on the 6700? One ring doesn't wake me up in the morning. I need numerous rings. I used Phone Alarm on my 6601 and it was fine....... the alert would just keep going off for like 3 or 4 minutes....... but the 6700 it goes once and stops 2 seconds later. Anyone have any advice or info on what they may be using for this?

Is everyone else just using the stock 2 second alarm? Can you really even hear that half the time?

I've been using it since I got the unit. I changed the sound from default to the 'Windows' sound and set the volume on max. Haven't been late for work yet.

It would be nice to have a program like 'Butler' for the Palm OS though. I usually had 3-4 different alarm schedules set and the interface was simple and effective.

there are 3 different alarms you can set...

if you click on the alarm bell above the time they are set for, you can change the sound and there are options to toggle: repeat sound, flash light, vibrate

works great for me - don't see a need for another program unless i want it to play mp3's instead of those sounds they have (which aren't great)

i bet there's a way to change the registry to allow for mp3 alarm sounds...anyone know it??

btw it appears that it's allowing me to use, as my alarm tone, a .wav file that's on my storage card with my mp3's - not sure how it found it, but it's available as my alarm - i'd still like an mp3

I know where all the alarms are and am glad that you guys can use them to alert you. But with the phone in the pocket or in another room, or when you are deep asleep........ a little Beep, Beep doesn't do it. Normally there is an alarm/alert app that will allow that sound to repeat for a certain set of time. I was just wondering if anyone was using one like Phone Alarm, SuperAlert etc. on their WM5 device.

Send a message via Yahoo to mwfielder

Newest version of Phone Alarm controls the number of repeats under each profile. Check there first to see if repeating alarms are set.

I was told that wasn't working with WM5.... and I tried myself, and believe it caused a hard reset.

ok i agree with your opinion about the alarms...i have solved it for myself with "Battery Pack Pro" - it has "power alert" that allows me to make the alarm a little louder, repeat without delay and i can specify the amount of time for it to run, the repeat rate and the repeat duration...not to mention alot of other good things battery pack pro does...that's my solution-

If you go to start, settings, system.then clock and alarms then use the alarm tab you can set a pretty good wake up alarm from there. If you use the stylus and touch the alarm icon you can choose a sound and repeat it from there. If its still not loud enough add this little gem to your windows folder and choose it as your alarm.

Cool I will take a perk......... having the stock alarms/alerts repeat every 5 minutes one time, is not enough for me. Until PHone Alarm is on wm5 I will keep looking!
