Wondering if there is any way to disable the keyboard icon (bar on the bottom when you open an app or use something that calls for inputting)?
Reason I ask is when I use terminal services to login to my W2K server, it cuts the screen a bit and I can't see the buttons to login (even though I choose to redraw screen to fit the PPC6700).
sometimes it's easier to use the onscreen keyboard to key in a few keys instead of sliding the whole keyboard out, waiting a second for the screen to go into landscape and then typing like 5 letters and closing it up again - so i like it
just my 2 cents

I found unchecking the draw to my screen works a lot better. When it was checked I could only see the center of my screen. When you leave it unchecked you get sliders and some pictures of screen layout to help navigate. Not great, but works.
I tried installing PHM it didnt work I have a PPC6700 I cant believe there isnt a disable on the soft keyboard.. the dang thing comes with a super nice fold out keyboard. I wish there was something to kill the soft keyboard. I wish PHM worked on Windows mobile 5. If anyone figures out a way to kill the soft keyboard on the PPC6700 PLEASE post it. Also the PPC6700 doesn't have voice activated calling.. I can't say "call work" If it does and I havent found it someone please enlighten me!
I'd like to see a hack that would prevent the virtual keyboard from popping out uninvited. Often when I'm browsing it keeps popping up even after taking the slider out and using it. It would be easier to just click on it when you need it IMO.
Ok, after a google search, someone at aximsite reccomends ZeNoKeyboard (freeware) to be installed and set as the input method. ZeNoKeyboard's only purpose is to stop the on-screen keyboard to be opened. Now, i've seen from time to time that the on-screen keyboard reverts back as the default, and no-one reccomends a registry tweak as it was very unstable on WM2003se so that probally means worse for WM5. Another reccomendation was to install Tweaks2K, not sure if it costs money to have the apps set as default.
