With ePocrates for Pocket PC, you need to run the autoupdate file that is on the PPC 6700 itself. So (on your PPC 6700), go to Start ---> Programs ---> File Explorer. Navigate to the My Device directory (basically the root directory). Go to the Program Files directory. Then go to the Essentials folder. Then tap on the Autoupdate file. It is probably best to have a Wi-Fi connection when you do this because the database files are large and take time to install the first time.

Update.

- SPB Weather 1.1.1 works perfectly fine on 6700 now. Not sure which version was being used before. It still won't autoconnect to EVDO but will update when connected to PC. I think it might also update when IE forces EVDO to connect.

- Skype 1.2 works fine on 6700. It also will not attempt to autoconnect to EVDO, but if you start IE first and force the EVDO connection to start, then close IE and start Skype, it will work fine... at least it did on my phone. My friend installed skype but after starting skype he said it would crash after like 10 secs. Not sure what was different about his phone than mine, he had a lot more crap installed tho, maybe something conflicted.

iLauncher causes my phone to completely froze my phone. Hard reset didn't work. Had to get a new phone!!!!

PIE Plus doesn't seem to work either.

Developer said support for WM2005 coming soon.

I get my first hard reset today....

SPB Pocket Plus 2.5- does not work. Must upgrade to 3.0

LAndware Quicken- installs, but does not sync. Must install http://www.landware.com/wm5/index.html
and get a new activation code.

Filemaker Mobile 7- installs but will not find handset in the configurations?? Runs on the handheld, but wont sync to any databases... Mobile 8 is coming out soon- says compatible with WM5.0

PlanPlus v2 is unable to sync properly, I wonder if v3 works...

PlanPlus is planning software issued by Franklin Covey.

Mental Motions Multipad installs fine, but hangs when run. so.... in other words, it doesn't work.

Agile Messenger- Seems to work. When you put it in landscape mode, the chat screen gets cut off and you can't read parts of the sentences. that sucks... or in other words, it doesn't work! very well

Sorry to hear that but I have no issues whatsoever with iLauncher. I doubt you had to get a new phone because of iLauncher. Hard resetting it should have gotten you back to when you purchase the phone.

Mapopolis 4.64b makes your phone vibrate whenever you are approaching a turn.

The last non-Beta version will not work with WM5 contacts (a must). 4.63b works without the vibration issue.

But these guys are hacking around the clock so they will have it all ironed out soon.

We have offered to help them solve the problem. THe sports module is just full of bugs and inoperability. This program worked perfectly on the Treo 650. IT is far more useful than Action
Express, but Action Express works ok on the 6700

Before posting that an app doesn't work, please keep in mind that it may be a problem specific to your device, such as a conflict with another app, or just too much clutter on the device, or a bad install.

My suggestion would be to try the app once, then hard reset, then install again to confirm that infact the app is at fault.

It would be unfortunate if people refrain from buying software because someone's 6700 was messed up to begin with.

IMPlus latest version works really poorly.

Do you want to be a little more specific? I am currently using IM+ w/o any issues. Only "feature" that is missing is that there is no notification sound when the device is turned off...I opened up a ticket with them and they apparently are working on it..

Magic Button seemed to be caused DSOD on my XV6700 so I uninstalled it. No DSOD since.

i dont know what it is or what programs are causing this...but i have narrowed my slow down to the following 3 apps...

abd weather
memaid
agile messanger....

with out those 3 things and only a couple hacks my phone seems fine...once i install them it gets crazy slow...

Pocket Hackmaster causes hickups in music playback in Windows Media Player and TCPMP. If you leave PHM running while playing music playback will be interrupted constantly throughout playback (giving the impression that there is a buffering issue). After I turned PHM of playback was smooth.

Not sure if anyone else had this issue.

adobe reader 2.0 cannot open email pdf attachment directly. it will attempt to open then close the app itself. if i save the attachment to a file then i can oppen it direstly.. i just did a hard reset and clean install, still no help. i have doth attachment save to mini sd and adobe install in mini sd as well. any thought for help??
