why did microsoft even bother?

I dont see any improvements with the issues related to wm2003, why did microsoft bother with this update??

Emails poll to the preset time limit, but only for the account you display.

I have four email addresses but can only get one account polled every 15 minutes like I want, I have to manually do the other three.

Wheres the missed calls, voicemail, email and messages continuous ring? Why cant they give you that option. Who here is satisfied with the ONE ring notification you get for a voicemail?? My nextel used to ring until I acknowledged it, this is retarded.

The IE layout is worse. There is no "stop" button on screen like there used to be, seems like other buttons are missing.

Soft buttons on mail are missing such as delete, connect, etc. Now you have to get into a menu to access them.

The new phone screen where you lose your keyboard after a call connects is also retarded. What if your trying to navigate through a teleprompt?

Some other issues are probably more phone related such as, why arent the calender and contact buttons reassignable? I would rather those be mail and internet. I know there is an internet button on the site but that doesnt work for me. It was a great setup on the 6600 why change it??

The form factor is nice, but I do miss the larger screen. If I didnt just sell my 6600 for $550 I probably wouldnt do this switch

play around some more and read the instruction book religiously. then come back and post. i am not enthralled with this either, but i am in the middle of a huge learning curve. many buttons are there if you tap and hold the stylus on the page you are on. it pops up after little spheres create a circle.

these were existing issues in 2003, they should have resolved these.

also, in 2003, when using ie, you can press the down on the directional pad to scroll down. now, you press down and instead of scrolling down the highlighted links are selected on the website. couldnt they have made this user selectable?

I have a very nice, gently used 6600 I'll trade you straight up for the 6700 you are unhappy with.

Good to hear not ALL is greener on the 6700 side. I'm still on the fence and waiting on the sale to consumers anyway.
