FYI Opera browser works on 6700!

Installed Opera for smartphone, since WM5 is supposed to be the same for either. Works perfectly for 6700. Havent played with it too much, but so far seems superior to PIE.

I use Opera on my desktop and love it. If you're not using it, you should at least give it a try. It just went free.

There was an Alpha version floating around a couple of months ago. I couldn't get it running on my i700 and it was HUGE. haven't heard anything lately.

Does anyone have a .cab file for opera? Pocket Mac does not work yet so the only way I can install programs is drag and drop the .cab onto the miniSD and install from there.

Are you guys really getting Minimo and Opera to work? Have you put them both through their paces? Minimo loaded dog slow on mine and the soft button bar wasn't drawn completely.

Opera loaded fine and looks very promising, but typing text into text fields on web pages didn't work right. My letters would double-up and the backspace didn't work. Can anyone else confirm that? Again, Opera looks quite promising.

I agree. Huge and slow, but it shows some promise.

I hope VZW carries the 6700 soon or upgrades the i730 to WM5. I am looking forward to trying Opera.

Opera seems promissing but for some reason my touch screen won't work at all. I can't touch where I want the cursor to go nor can I scroll with my stylus. Loads pages fast though although in landscape mode they don't take up the whole screen.

Any work arounds?

it is a smarthpone application. Smartphones don't have touchscreens. You can now put 2 and 2 together as to why it doesnt work.
