BC Coming Soon?

What's the story here?

I click on the get business connect link, and it takes me to a page that says

PCS Business Connection Download Page
Coming Soon!

Just curious - I never actually used BC on my 6600 - what is it?

They pulled the same stuff with the 6601, took about a month for them to provide a download so just be patient. I see that Goodlink is also "coming soon".

Be what? What was the 'P' word you used? I'm not familiar with that.

Yuck! I guess it's bound to be better then the treo 650 implementation which took 90% of all system resources and memory... But I wouldn't touch it with a 10 foot pole.

I've been using it for about a year and it has proven to be a very simple way to get push email.

I plan to move away from it this year, but until I get my exchange server configured properly, it's a good solution for me.

Thanks - I figured it was something like that but never bothered to investigate. I run all exchange shops so they get all this directly from exchange.

I appreciate the link!

There is a patch for the push on exchange if you don't want to wait for SP2.

do you have a link boe?

If it's just the beta SP2 I would hold off unless this is a non-production server.

Good question - I will have to verify. I read about a week or two ago that it was being released on either 9down or another such site but I forgot to bookmark it. I'll see what I can dig up.

Push-Through-SMS (AUTD) has been around for along time. I use it on my PPC right now (without SP2). Its just not as reliable as GoodLink.

Once I updated my PPC to WM5 though, it became REALLY stable.
