Well I ran TCPMP with a locally stored video. The source video had a resolution of 480x320 (originally optimized for my Tapwave Zodiac), 24fps. These are the benchmark results:
480x320 video, 24fps, 1.4Mbit/s
Average speed: 126.78%
Video Frames: 3635
Audio Samples: 6719567
Amount of Data: 26904KB
Bench Time: 1:59.461
Bench Frame Rate: 30.43
Bench Sample Rate: 56249
Bench Data Rate: 1.8 Mbit/s
Original Time: 2:31.453
Original Frame Rate: 24
Original Sample Rate: 44100
Original Data Rate: 1.4 Mbit/s
However, this is deceptive. When I watched the video live (not in benchmark mode), I definitely had several skipped frames. Performance was better than I feared, though, and I feel pretty confident that it should handle high-bitrate 30fps 320x240 videos.
As a side-note, TCPMP isn't as PPC-6700 as it could be. Full-screen mode runs upside-down, and the icons on the toolbar aren't accessible without tapping on the screen.
