Yes... it says those accessories are for the PPC6700, so why wouldn't they work?

Just a suggestion but since I see many of us now getting the 6700 in hand, how making a general "6700 accessories" thread instead of making a new thread for each new accessory? That would put everything in one place where anyone could go to get info.

Does anyone knows if the 6600 and 6700 share the same charger?

Thanks,
I thought they would have the same charger just like sanyo does. I guess that's another way to make money.

Re: Car charger for the 6700

I don't see how that would work without an additional Miini-USB to regular USB adapter.

The 6700 has a mini USB and boxwave is picturing a standard USB.

I didn't think the 6700 came with the adapter...I'll know by Friday...

will these work

That may be one way of looking at it, but technology also changes, that's why we keep buying these stupid things.

I am going to try the iGo products. I believe adapter # a53 should work for this as it is the same adapter as the Audiovox 5600 (HTC phone w/ miniUsb plug). I will let you know once it arrives.

OK. I got my PPC-6700 today.
It *does* come with a USB to mini-USB cable.
This is how the dock connects to the computer, then the included AC adapter terminates in mini-USB also, which also plugs into the dock (2 mini USB connectors on dock).

That Boxwave picture is obviously wrong, as neither side would work with a PPC-6700. Its just a generic picture.

More concerning is the fact that the AC adapter is rated at 1 amp. This means that unlike what I had hoped, you probably won't get a charge plugging the USB to mini-USB cable directly to a computer, as computers can only supply 1/2 amp from the USB.

On the upside, I am betting it will at least power and sync the 6700 while directly connected to the computer (avoiding the cradle). It likely just won't provide further charging... On to test...

mine does not charge when connected with mini usb to computer. only sync. but the battery seems to show that it is charging. i had it plugged into the computer usb thinking it was indeed charging, but after an hour, the battery drained significantly.

If you use a powered USB hub you can probably pull more current from it.

And if you plug it in and don't use it (screen off) then it should charge with 500ma... just slowly.

I ordered a car charger from Sprint when I ordered my PPC-6700; sillly me. They couldn't match a calling plan to the phone (first order rejected) why would I think they could find a car charger.

They sent me one that does not work; wrong end. It is "PCS Vehicle Power Adapter by Body Glove" It has a small "pin" connector on the end--looks like for an LG phone.

I can't imagine what kind of troulble I'm infor trying to return this thing.

Has anybody confirmed something that does work?

I thought I read that it would charge while conneced to my laptop.... Hmmm plug my 6700 into my laptop and plug my laptop into my car power----Gee, I should have just bought a data card?

I plan on using my USB car adapter from my Treo. It is a cigarette lighter adapter with a USB plug in it that accepts any usb cable. I'll just plug the included USB cable into it

I got it from ebay for about $7 or so

that would probably work great. i don't know if your adapter has a fuse in it or is limits the current draw tho...but the car can certainly put out more than 1 amp so with any luck it should still charge...

I already have the Boxwave for my I500, I only ordered the cable to plug into the Car Charger/Wall charger that I already bought from Boxwave. I probably should have tried my new cable that has a USB (that came with the 6700) first. I'll try it without the new cable and let you know. I may end with two cables.
