MS Voice Command or Fonix VoiceDial

Just curious how many are planning on use which app on their new 6700?

BTW - on MS, and handango, I don't see a mention of VoiceCommand 1.5 being OK with WM5.

Fonix Voicedial is GARBAGE, do not install this. It works extremely slow, the recognition is horrid, and overall just bad program integration.

MS VC is the standard. I have it installed on my 6700 but have not played with it much yet.

Funny you should say that I felt the exact same way about Voice Command - but I was using Voice Command 1.2 (I'm using Fonix 2.0) I'm guessing you are using 1.5 which I never got around to trying. I tried 10 names with VC 1.2 - it didn't get a single one right so I gave up on it. I'll have to try 1.5 since you've had more luck than me. Is there a different version for WM5 or is the standard trial OK?

Thanks for your input.

I was using the latest version of Fonix. If you do a search you will find that lots of people had gripes with Fonix, even the latest version. VC is far from perfect, but it is the gold standard that no one has come close to yet.

well it works great but i wouldn't call it flawless unless you only use it in your bedroom closet. unless you're in an extremely quiet environment it won't recognize much and you can't hear what the confirmation says.

I had fonix on my g1000, it ruled and i miss it

Voice Command is ok, far from perfect but i will probably go back to fonix. VC has no adjustment and fonix you can really tweak for your voice
