Now that a few folks have the new 6700 has anyone run the "grab it" ROM dumper?

You don't have to hard reset or anything, just run from mini sd and wait for little red bar to go accross... That is, if it will run on WM5 (didnt think of that until just now).

That or run this WM5 file dumper. That would be more useful to some of us trying to get WM5 on our 6600's since we can't simply extract files from thje ROM dump...

Bump now that a few more people have 6700's in hand.

Id love to see if this helps make progress towards getting EVDO on the 6600. The 6700 seems to come with a new PRL.

I wonder if someone who managed to get a power vision pack on their account, an EVDO radio version and the new 6700 PRL on their 6600 would have better luck acessin EVDO... ?

If you can point me to instructions for getting the radio ROM or PRL off I will try those too.

I get a permision denied error when uploading to ftp://xda-developers.com/uploads Error 550. any advice?

EDIT: when rar'ed the ROM is tiny. Post your email and I will just send it to you.

"uploads" should be "Uploads" Notice the first letter is capitalized.

So it should be ftp://xda-developers.com/Uploads

True however his error is due to no username or password. Once you log in you simply go into the "Uploads" folder.

How tiny? If it's not at least several megabytes then it likely didn't work. The uncomressed file is large because it uses the entire size of your SD card, but it's all zeros, essentially, which reveals itself when it compresses down to nothing.

It should be 32MB or so for just the ROM file, otherwise it wil be almost the size of the blank SD card you use if you did a raw dump. I've got 2.5GB in my email so...

ok. Uploading, about 20-30 min to go.

EDIT: It didnt come to 32mb for me, it definately produced a 64mb .bin file. That is the same sized file produced when I used the grab_it program on a prerelease i730. I believe buzz_lightyear said he made the tool to gram the first 64mb or the ROM regardless of it actuall size.
