CDs should have been with the phone but the software was all trial stuff so no biggie. you need activesync to manage your contacts, emails, etc. thats a free download so go to your favorite search engine and search "activesync". its a micrfosoft download and its free. the latest i think is 4.6 or 4.5.. i forget...
if you cant get online with verizon, you need to call their tech support and make sure your phone is set up properly. any error messages pop up write them down. you can also search here to see if others havehad the errors you get if any...
wifi is a broad thing... if you know how to add a computer at home to a network then this phone is bascially the same way. its has a mac address. the phone also needs the SSID and passcode/security key to get on the network if the network uses any security. the 6700 is a b/g radio and it does not use a or n networks.
read the sticky threads up top and search the forum a bit more for any more info and if you dont find what your looking for THEN post. 100% of your questions have been posted im sure so take time to search.
i would do a hard reset and wipe the phone clean. this will delete anything you have put on it thus far so be warned, but in order for others to help you i recommend a hard reset so we all know you are at ground zero. search here for a "hard reset". its been posted tons...
