I have had the unit for 2 years, i bought it from a third party and I have no insurnace. it worked well for some time however for last 4 months, it shuts off on its own, and needs a soft reset. I bought a new battery, problem came back after a month.

I have not downloaded any software since purchase.

Any solution?

have you dropped it?

the battery you purchased,was it a brand new battery or something used? what is the manufacturer of the battery?

could be the contacts in the battery compartment may be losing contact with the battery itself, thus shutting the phone off.

at first glance it sounds like a physical issue with the battery not making contact with the compartment.
