Hello Folks,

Verizon just replaced my broken 6700, and I noticed that the OS appears to be upgraded.

I am not a PPC software guru in any way, so I was hoping someone could tell me how I could tell if I have the most recent OS version, and if the .net CF 2.0 (or higher) is installed.

I think it is. When I installed Microsoft Voice Command, it didn't harass me about the .net software, and I am almost sure it did with one of my older 6700's.

The only other odd thing is that this new phone doesn't seem to want to save changes to the settings. I replaced the background and altered the font, and noticed that ever time soft reboot it reverts one or the other to the original. I just did a hard reset and soft reset before the Verizon junk software installed, so I am hoping this also solved that problem.

In ActiveSync, if you go to "Tools | Add/Remove Programs", you should see "Microsoft .NET CF 2.0" in the list. In the event that it's not in the list, check for the directory "\Program Files\.NET CF 2.0".

Keep in mind that the latest is 3.5
