Problem with Messaging

I have my backlight set on the dimmest setting before it is off to conserve battery power when not plugged in. Sometimes when I open a text message, "To", "From" and "Sent" are all blank with a line under them, and when I reply to a message the same thing happens and I press send but nothing at all happens the message just stays up. Also, before this happens, the back light turns on and stays on all the way bright. I have to pull the battery or reset it to get everything back to normal.

Is this a common problem? And also, when I reset it, my backround never saves but when I click on the Start button you can see the picture behind it.

Thanks.

Yes, I remember ppl havin issues with their backlight setting not saving although I have not been one of them so I cannot directly answer that Q for you and hopefully someone else can.

As for the msgs, most ppl and everyone I know have moved into the threaded msgs apps. No one I know of does a single text back and forth (if that makes sense). Think of it like IM with all txt on one screen. That may be something you also want to look into.
