Just bought the XV6700 a couple days ago. Great phone. The only problem is I can not send or receive MMS messages.
I have searched and tried to edit the server settings but when I go into the Messages program > Menu > MMS Config > Servers I click on Verizon Wireless and I can't select it or anything.
So what do I do? I tried Verizon and they said I had some blocks on my account, and I told them I had no troubles with my old phone, SCH-U740. So I had them remove the blocks anyway and tried and still no success. I DO have a TXT and PIX/FLIX plan of unlimited.

Thats fine to have a TXT/FLIX acct and thats what you needed for your other phone. BUT with the 6700 that does you NO GOOD as you need a Data Plan which on VZW is about $45 a month. You need this to do MMS. There are a TON of threads on this and there is no way around it other than FTP the pics over to a PC and using regular email to send them.

you really need to go back and check with VZW because you do not get a dala planfor $5. There is a difference between a data plan and PIX/FLIX plan. Unless they came out with something new very recently, the data plan is $45. What exact voice and data plan do you have? How many minutes and what data plan are you saying that you have.

Well I called Verizon and a rep told me a data plan is no longer needed for the phone to do multimedia text messaging. So idk what they've been telling all of you. I do a zillion pix/flix a month and nothing is charged on my bill.
