Retrieving Contact Info

I like to ask a question please. I have xv6700(Verizon) and it was freezing a little. I did install some small applications. I erased the memory (system) which ultimately erased all my contacts info. Is there a way I can retrieve my contact information.

I would have to say, if you don't do backups or have Outlook "Contacts" sync up to your 6700 via activesync...then your out of luck....there are some freeware like PimBackup that alot of members like myself use to backup contacts..etc...just incase something goes wrong.

"Pim.vol" is the file in the "windows" dir that contains the contact info.

Agreed, the lastest version of PIMBackup is v2.7 and it works as good as any other version I ever used. I set mine to do a scheduled backup every other day and it runs everytime. As Unknown Zone has said, the pim.vol although it is not in the Windows directory but rather in the root directory (one level above Windows). However, if have managed to delete the contacts themselves then this file means nothing to you at this point.
