Non-issue for me. I simply have my headset on and connected and the call rings in my headset directly. I hit the talk button on the headset once and it picks up.
Plantronics M3500 here (aka "The Electronic Cockroach")
I am in the two times boat. Plus, it seems like it takes a long time for the audio to come through the headset. It stays connected better so I might have to stick with it.
I have the logitech mobile freedom. It connects better(one press), but it seems to loose connections more often. Plus when it reconnects the volume is all the way down.
I should say, my bluetooth has the 4 ring problem so I am just trying to find something that works.
I have never lost a connection (unless i was too far away from my phone on the other side of a room or something). Sometimes even hitting the "Yes" twice does not answer but over 9/10 of the time it does.
I do have a delay of about 4 seconds before i get audio. Also, when a call comes in "Unavailible" or "Private" i get garbage across the display and 3-4 numbers at the end (the numberes have nothing to do with the blocked number). I sent a pic of this to Jabra and they said they are haveing their techs research it. If someone has this issue or any other issue they seam to be pretty prompt in their response. I also sent them the S/W and BT versions on my phone to help them out.
hey falc, did you get the bt from ecost? i just purchased one yesterday and receievd it today. what BT stack are you using? the stock or did you upgrade? and if you upgraded, did it make a difference?
also, how is everyones mute/menu button working? do you have to press it hard or a certain eway to get it to activate? i also called my phone from my hitachi G (private number) and garbage letters showed up also. the only thing i have that others mentioned is that it takes a couple seconds to hear audio. the ringers are cool and everything else is great. i also just press one button to activate... maybe you guys are not pressing it firmly?
BT3500 - tried them all no difference
I found all buttons on the headset has to be pushed in just the right way.
The caller id just showed numbers but it seemed to work.
The rings are loud and the vibrate function is great for noisy enviroments.
I've thought about how firm and how long I was pushing the answer button. Tried every combination and still took 2-4 hits on the button to get it to answer. And then it took seconds for the audio to activate.
Originally posted by Xc0m People who talk to me constantly hear an echo when I use the Bt800. When I switch to the phone, no echo.
Also takes 2-3 taps to answer, along with 3-4 seconds to answer.
Pretty much my experience since I got it....... like 4 months ago I think.
I love the caller id though.
My vibration motor is broken too....... contacted Jabra and they didn't respond.
For those who are experiencing the "multiple taps to answer" issue and still kept their BT800, try tapping the button between rings to answer. I found that it usually answered on the first tap if I waited for the ringing to stop (headset ringer, not phone speaker ringer). I did not experiment with vibrate mode.
