It's odd, but sometimes it works and sometimes it don't. When I put in the code to do an auto-softreset, my phone seemed to always pick up the changes. I'm working on a much better version now...but it kind of has to take a backseat to the SMS application in the works.

You'd THINK that the DEFAULT would be to have a disconnect button. At least, I'd think that.

The XV6600 "disconnect" button appears when you establish a VPN connection. It also disconnects the data connection as well.

I was able to establish a VPN connection to my work computer, but I don't know what to do next...

I really don't believe this...you posted about this TWICE? Why didn't you read the whole thread first? Not to mention the title of the thread is pretty self-explanatory...

Anyways--

Here was my problem. For some reason, I was not connecting to sprint network...I would get some "dismissal" error of some sort. I figured out (I think ) that it was related to Phone Alarm, 1.26. I changed the "addon" option of PA to *not* include the disconnect and time bubble addon-- I unchecked the GPRS option (since I have sprint). Then, I did this little reg tweak...and BLAMMO! No problems...yet . In case anyone runs into this, figured it would help.

Ehud-
Thanks for teaching me about Search..."flags2" was a great keyword....lol...wish others could to, now that I find myself reading the same thing over and over in each thread...

I agree...but think of it from Sprint/Verizon's perspective...

They WANT you to stay connected...more time connected = more plan minutes used= more money for them! Just my $.02 worth...

its not a matter of minutes used, I dont think anyone still offers data use billed by the minute (except some legacy verizon customers). Everyone bills by the MB now, and I would be supprised if the majority of PDAphone customers werent on unlimited plans.

Obviously i know this...were you just trying to let everyone know your wisdom?

It's the CONCEPT of what they are doing-more time, more MB, however you want to word it, the point is they want to make more money.
