Newcomer alert!!
Not sure if this is the best place to put this question but...
What exactly is the business account rebate from sprint? I share minutes with my wife and her two sisters, needless to say we don't exactly have a corporate account. Is there a way to try to get them to give you a "business" rebate by telling them that you work for yourself? I'm getting ready to go into my fourth year of veterinary school so I will be using it of "educational" puposes, plus, once out of school I will be part of a small business. So, will any of this get me the business rebate?
Thanks,
John

6600 Voice Activation

I bought the Microsoft Voice Software, how can I get the phone to activate it via the wired headset or bluetooth headset?

Regading SPB pocket plus,
I understand that tapping "X" while in a program doesn't exactly close the app (from the factory), and that with this upgrade it does. So if in the stock form, you tap the X and minimize it, when exactly does it close? When the device goes to sleep or you turn it off? Just curious.

Better off posting this to a regular thread. But...

By default close button minimizes apps.
You can close apps with factory configuration, but it's a pain.
Goto Start->Settings->Memory->Running Programs

With SPB plus you can configure it the way you like per application. I decided I like the default behavior to leave apps running and I now have a short cut way of close one or all apps from holding the close button.

Try the demo, you'll probably like it.

Spb Pocket Plus - Battery indicator

Just installed Spb Pocket Plus and I do like the functionality it adds. I have a question on battery life. On full charge, the battery indicator says I have 3:45 hours of battery life. Is that what other XV6600 users see? I have had the phone for three days and wanted to compare with other users to see if the battery life is about average.

Thanks!

Does anyone know what a blinking red light is supposed to indicate? Normally it blinks green, but sometimes for no apparent reason it blinks red. I don't have an appointment or e-mail or anything.

Isn't there a way to access the full owner's manual for the Sprint 6600 online? I got to it once at home, but I just went through the mypcs stuff at sprintpcs.com and couldn't find it.
Thanks,
John

Check for running programs like "Messaging." Kill it.

If you're in a 1xRTT area or EVDO and the cute logo is displayed, select it (tap with stylus) and wait for the baloon to show up, then tap it again.

Re: Here is a Draft of a FAQ (Sticky please)

Using file explorer on my handheld I'm not able to see this file on my XV6600 in the Windows directory. Is it a hidden file? I "can" see it using file explorer on my desktop through activestink.

It's hidden. Use Resco or Total Commander.

Figures. Thanks Ehud. Should have thought about that one. Wonder what other goodies are hidden??

P.S. Should this be mentioned in the FAQ?

I added a note with regard to the file being hidden.

Hey mswlogo, I've had to say this a few times in the forums. How bout adding it to the faq.

Wireless Sync from Verizon Wireless:
Wireless Sync takes the place of Activesync for - Contacts, Notes, Calendar, Email, and Tasks. If you have any of these enabled in Activesync and you have WirelessSync running you will end up with duplicates, and other wierd behavior.

I think Sprint Buisness Connect is the same way but I haven't used it. Maybe someone else can comment on that.

Anybody know how to lock the buttons without shutting down the system? I can't put it in a pocket and keep listening to tunes.
