Bluetrek G2...anyone using w/wo 3500?

I searched and could only find limited info.
Anyone using Bluetrek G2?
If so which stack and what luck?
Do you like it?
Pros/cons with 6600.
Thanks in advance.

I haven't used that particular set but did research it after I got my v710. I couldn't find any positive reviews on it with any phone. The largest complaints were poor sound quality, both incoming and outgoing. I think there were others but mostly specific to a particular phone. It's a shame because it has a nice industrial design. All that glitters ain't gold though.

I am using this with the 3500c patch. It works very well but I wish more people would call me . hehe. Also, it seems to work better than the factory BT file version. Do you already have the unit or are you looking to buy? I cannot necessarily compare to other since I haven't tried any others.

OK here's my review...brief

I bought it. I could pair it and make a call but it wouldn't stay paired...with the original stack. I loaded 3500 C and now it works as advertised. The only con is that the range seems short...like 20 feet max. Although maybe that's standard. I have to caveat this with this is my very first BT headset so take my opinion with a grain of salt.

Using it with standard BT stack. No big issues. Stays paired MUCH BETTER than BT250.

bluetrek g2

I bought the siemens sx66 (my first pda cell phone) and the bluetrek g2 as advised from a friend. I had a terrible static problem. I bought the motorola HS801. Didnt fare much better. tried the 3500 patch.....HS801 rarely works (people cant hear me at all, i hear them fine), but the g2 is much better. My problem is im on the edge of the cingular service area and i get such poor reception that the calls are terrible for both me and the caller. Incidentally, the g2 is much lighter and more comfortable but looser and tends to feels like it is flopping around (or maybe my ears are just malformed...?).

If both worked the same i would still prefer the g2.

I am using motorola HS801, and have the same problem too. I don't know how to make it up, even I upgrade bt driver version to 1.5.

3900 has been out on ehuds site, i hate it cause I like to keep my HS in my pocket, and when I push the button, the phone cuts on and activates the BT. Therefore my battery goes to crap on my headset.
